Trainer competencies

By the end of this module, trainers can:

1. Distinguish scope by correctly classifying event-calendar cases as Module 4 or broader community-information cases as Module 5.
2. Evaluate event information by checking ownership, currency, organizer identity, venue confirmation, commercial purpose, and ticket or registration routes.
3. Evaluate feasibility by recording stated, missing, and uncertain information about total cost, travel, timing, eligibility, caring responsibilities, accessibility, and cancellation.
4. Apply privacy and safer-practice principles by minimizing data, identifying scam indicators and unnecessary app permissions, and avoiding claims that a provider, venue, journey, or event is safe.
5. Design inclusive facilitation that supports participant-led choice across physical, sensory, communication, digital, social, language, literacy, mobile, print, and offline needs.
6. Explain information-literacy evidence as source verification, comparison, and proportionate decisions rather than registration, attendance, disclosure, or social participation.
